Flower & business design insights, inspiration, and advise for the modern day florist (or wannabe florist).
Planning wedding flowers can be a bit of a challenge if you are not organized. There is a method to the madness, well actually several. Below I cover one I use often for weddings and events that are under 300 people. You can get more or less elaborate when planning your florals but always focus on your color palette, floral recipe, and finishing touches/vessels. CHOOSE A COLOR PALATE
If color theory is not your thing, stick to a monochamatic color palette. You can't go wrong with black and white! You can also choose a color "family" like rich jewel tones, or blushes, or whites.
CHOOSE YOUR FLOWER RECIPE
If you are looking for a garden and romantic look, go for flowers with higher petal counts. I you are looking for a more structured, less "light and airy" feel, go for bolder single bloom flowers like cala lily, iris, or king protea.
CHOOSE YOUR EMBELLESHMENTS
Depending on your style, you may choose to use more or less of jewels, broaches, and ribbon. Remember ALL ribbon used should be double sided satin for your ribbon. Unless you are opting for burlap or lace, any and all satin should be double sided for quality. Your wedding day is a fabulous celebration, so I say go for all the bling your heart desires. It is always a nice touch to use personal touches such as lockets, broaches, and such.

I just want to let you know that I'm finally making the move to getting own studio space. I've spent a year sharing a space with another creative, but the space has become to small for the both of us. I'm really excited to see my vision coming to life. Thank You again for all of your coaching help and website development!
