Flower & business design insights, inspiration, and advise for the modern day florist (or wannabe florist).
When we are designing an arrangement for a male recipient, chose tropical or naturally green flowers. By designing with green flowers, you are able to play with the textures of the foliage throughout the overall design more. They also give a more masculine feel to the design.
A tight/compact design will also give the appearance of structure. In a more masculine design try to put less emphasis on movement, more on structure. Just becouse a design in not light and airy, doesn't mean it has to be stiff. In this design above, we used a combination carnations, aspidistra, ruscus, and seeded eucalyptus. Finish the look in a clear shallow vase.
I just want to let you know that I'm finally making the move to getting own studio space. I've spent a year sharing a space with another creative, but the space has become to small for the both of us. I'm really excited to see my vision coming to life. Thank You again for all of your coaching help and website development!
