Flower & business design insights, inspiration, and advise for the modern day florist (or wannabe florist).
The way your stems are displayed in your arrangement can either take away or enhance your overall design. Below are some useful techniques to improve the look of your arrangements.
1. Bear Grass
Bear grass is sleek and instantly gives a new dimension to your design. Take any clear vase and add cleaned bear grass bundles to create horizontal or vertical lines in your vase.
2. Aspidistra or Ti Leaves
Use the large course textured leaves to create a clean and modern look to any design. Aspidistra leaves require less work as most ti leaves need to have the veins removed to effectively wrap the vases without tearing.
3. Colored Vases
Lastly using any colored vase is a fabulous way to add color to your design. Choose a vessel that has a color used in your arrangement to show unity in your design. You can also choose a metallic, or monochromatic colored vase to compliment your decor. The possibilities are endless.

I just want to let you know that I'm finally making the move to getting own studio space. I've spent a year sharing a space with another creative, but the space has become to small for the both of us. I'm really excited to see my vision coming to life. Thank You again for all of your coaching help and website development!
