Flower & business design insights, inspiration, and advise for the modern day florist (or wannabe florist).
Fresh flowers at an event excite the senses, create the desired ambiance, and transform any room, whatever your style. Although roses are always a popular choice for arrangements, the floral trend of 2015 is showcasing some unique blooms. Compact, over-styled arrangements are making way for a more relaxed aesthetic.
Wildflowers are all the rage for 2015. A “just picked from the garden” look is soft and romantic, humble and bohemian. Clip a few sprigs of baby’s breath into your hair, arrange statice and trachelium in a mason jar, pin on a boutonniere cradled in dusty miller, and it will look like your wedding blossomed from a dreamy wildflower field.
A budget conscious and elegantly simple trend of 2015 is the single-flower arrangement. A single stem of your favorite flower in full bloom is charming and understated. Try a peony, dahlia, or hydrangea, just a few of the flower types that work perfectly for this floral trend.
A masculine yet chic and modern wedding floral trend of 2014 is the succulent air plant. Exotic and resilient, the succulent is the ideal floral accent if you are looking for something unique. It is a visually interesting accent to a centrepiece, looks totally fab as a wedding cake garnish, and is a lovely favour that guests will actually appreciate and display long after the wedding.
I just want to let you know that I'm finally making the move to getting own studio space. I've spent a year sharing a space with another creative, but the space has become to small for the both of us. I'm really excited to see my vision coming to life. Thank You again for all of your coaching help and website development!
